Fire Department Schedules Safety Events at Local Schools

The City of Sevierville Fire Department will be at two local schools this week to promote safety for our students.

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 18, 19, firefighters will be at the Sevierville Primary School meeting with second grade classes to reinforce fire prevention practices. Firefighters were also at the school last October during Fire Prevention Month. The Fire Safety House will be utilized at this event.

On Friday, April 20, firefighters will be at Sevier County School to conduct a mock vehicle accident involving a drunk driver. Several emergency response agencies will be on hand, including LifeStar Air Ambulance. The purpose of the event is to bring awareness to the dangers of drinking and driving and distracted driving.
